How does Hotsniper work?

Hotsniper is an automated way of bidding on auctions. It simply places your bid for you in the last 5 seconds of the auction. You simply tell Hotsniper what you want to win, and Hotsniper places your highest bid for you, by checking the autobid box at the end of the auction.

How much does it cost?

Your 10 day Hotsniper free trial allows you to place unlimited bids on eBay auctions. You can upgrade your account to Hotsniper Unlimited any time during your free trial period. Hotsniper Unlimited costs US$2.99 per month enabling you to continue to place unlimited bids on eBay auctions.

How do I pay?

You pay in exactly the same way as you pay your eBay fees. Via PayPal using your PayPal account.

What are the risks of placing a Snipe (last second bid)?

There are risks to placing a snipe. No service or software can guarantee you will win the auction. If the eBay servers are down for maintenance we will not be able to place your snipe.

Why do you require my eBay password?

Hotsniper is not associated with eBay in any way. Hotsniper simply acts as your bidding agent. To make a bid on your behalf, your username, password and email address must be in our database.

What happens if two people place a snipe on the same item?

The highest bidder will win. If both bids are the same the person who bid first will win.

Do I have to leave my computer on for Hotsniper to place a bid?

No. Hotsniper places the bid for you from our remote servers that are in operation 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. Your computer can be switched off and Hotsniper will successfully place your bid.

What does Hotsniper do with my personal information?

Hotsniper will never give out your private information. You can read our PRIVACY STATEMENT by clicking on the "Privacy Policy" link at the bottom left of the Hotsniper site.

Can Hotsniper place bids on other auction sites?

No at this time Hotsniper can only place bids on eBay.

What happens if I place a bid manually and Hotsniper places a bid as well?

Will Hotsniper place a bid so that I outbid myself? Our scheduled bidding service needs to be as efficient as possible. If we had to check whether or not you had placed a bid prior to your snipe, it just adds another step to the process. We would like to be able to place your snipe as easily and simply as possible, so we can provide you with the best possible service.

How do I cancel my Hotsniper subscription?

Simply cancel your Hotsniper subscription under your PayPal account. Log into your PayPal account you used to pay for the Hotsniper subscription, find the Hotsniper subscription and use the cancel link. Hotsniper will automatically cancel your subscription at the end of the last paid period.
